Jonathan Huang | Lead Pastor

Born and raised in Houston, TX as the son of Taiwanese immigrants, Jonathan received his undergraduate education at Rice University where he studied sociology and had his eyes opened to the need for churches to be part of the solution to the historic racial and ethnic divides present in the American church. This experience, along with an increasing understanding of the need to bring the gospel to the unreached people groups of the world, have helped shaped his desire to plant “a church for the nations” here in the city of Houston.

Jonathan received an MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is also a physician who trained at the Baylor College of Medicine.

He was a part of two church planting residencies with the Houston Church Planting Network and was previously on staff at Houston Chinese Church before helping to launch Ethnos Church in West Houston.

Jonathan is married to Aya and they have three boys: Joseph, Noah, and Micah.
