Our Story

With a city as diverse and global as Houston, our church was established with a deep desire to see the transformative love of Christ draw together men, women, and children from the different people groups and nations that have come to call Houston their home.

Ethnos Church was founded in January 2024, when a small group of Christians from four different churches covenanted together to start a new journey to reach the neighborhoods surrounding Houston’s Energy Corridor with the gospel. We began gathering for worship first in clubhouse settings before moving to a local elementary school a few months later. Our hope is to reach those who are far from God with the gospel of Jesus Christ, to help them grow into mature disciples, and to develop into a healthy, multi-ethnic church that’s positioned to plant new churches in the years to come.

We believe that healthy churches plant healthy churches. So we’re striving to develop into the kind of church that’s worth replicating not because we’ve found another way to do church that’s freshly innovative or creative, but because it’s a kind of church that’s been deeply shaped by a robust understanding of how God’s designed his church to be. We want to see more churches planted here in Houston and around the world that want nothing more than to saturate their geography with the gospel and to develop into healthy, biblically-shaped, church-planting churches.

“Remember, the ultimate kingdom goal is not just to plant one new church, but to plant churches that plant churches that plant churches: a legacy of multiplication.”

Robert Logan
